An upstate man who was about to be pulled over by cops knew he had to ditch his weed. So he decided to throw it out the window... and it landed right on the cop's vehicle. Was it bad luck? Or could the man have been the mysterious Marijuana fairy we've heard so much about?

Cops say they spotted Sean Schmidt, 20, standing with his upper body sticking out the sunroof of his car traveling on Interstate 190 in Buffalo late Monday night. When the state police cruiser flashed his lights to pull him over, Schmidt threw his small bag of marijuana, which landed on the hood of the trooper's car. This is exactly what the sad trombone was created for. Troopers say Schmidt was ticketed for marijuana possession and not wearing a seatbelt.

It's pretty embarrassing situation, but at least he didn't drop a lit joint on his pants. And as for the troopers, we must add, as ever: at least Schmidt didn't ask them to wait while he finished smoking his crack.
