Walking down the stairs to the subway platform there are lots of things that we are prepared to see. Spider-Man, that sad rat man, heck we even sort of expect to see something. But a full-on brawl in a subway car whose doors don't seem to want to open? Not on our list. Until now.
The caption on the below video, which was uploaded yesterday, says that this is "A fight that started over a seat on the train," and if that is true it must have been some seat.
As a very New York video, the older woman who beats on the subway door as if to say "Hey you kids! Stop that or I'll get out my hose!" is especially charming. Also, is the guy in the backpack a part good Samaritan just pitching in? Without knowing where and when exactly this happened the MTA was unable to give us more info on the situation, so if anyone knows anything we're all ears.

Just another marketing stunt for Jimmy Buffet's line of short sleeve buttondowns.
Inkognita
It's weird that the younger man being punched doesn't try at all to defend himself especially since the other guy is certainly no spring chicken. All the younger guy is doing is trying to shield himself from the blows. He's not even trying to escape. But since the conductor won't open the doors, there's really no where to go. Good that no one had a knife or gun.
And what's up with the seat? Looks like there's plenty to choose from. But who knows what really happened or what started the altercation. Someone got dissed again? Perhaps the real story will come out later.

Disgusting savage behavior wailing on someone over a seat
Not at all surprised this happened. I asked some young man wearing a Reliance Moving & Storage t-shirt for his seat this morning (because I was hit by a car and have to walk with a cane) and he replied "No, I'm good." ...No shit! I can tell by your two functioning legs! That's why a disabled person was asking for your seat!

yeah well FU! maybe he had mental problems. you can't see all disabilities you know....
Growing up in New York City, violence was much more prevalent in the 80's. Koch used to claim he was going to get a cop on every subway car.

Those people suck at breaking up a fight. I especially like the white dude around 1:12 when he kind of gives up and seems to be thinking "all right then, beat the shit out of him."
Wow. Those punches were practically slo-mo. And what's with the white guy...the most passive attempt at restraining someone I've ever seen, lol. Totally weird, a complete sh** show.

this is clearly an assault and the video should be submitted as evidence to the police. if we accept this savage behavior, then we deserve it.
