Double Broken Bottle Stabbing In Washington Square Park
A 51-year-old man from Brooklyn got in a nasty altercation in Washington Square Park this afternoon that sent two young men to the the hospital. A Walk in the Park reports that Charles Graham "removed a broken bottle from a sock and slashed two males, ages 22 and 27" in a dispute around 1:15 p.m. around Washington Square North and Fifth Avenue. It is unclear if the slashing was in any way provoked.
The two victims were transported to Bellevue in stable condition while Graham was charged with two counts of felony assault and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD says.
Graham apparently was having a bad day. He reportedly had assaulted a parks employee in the park just two hours earlier. While the worker was cleaning Graham apparently "removed his belongings and then hit the parks worker in the face and fled the scene."
Graham was arrested by the Parks Enforcement Police but, as you can see in the below video (which goes on for a very long time), was turned over to the NYPD "due to staffing commitments at the Black Eyed Peas concert in Central Park."

This is the Old New York you assholes think you miss

People need to stop rushing to judgement. If the 24 and 27 year olds were fellow African-Americans, otherwise normal people, or even tourists, clearly, this was unfortunate. If they were pasty, neck-bearded, fedora-wearing trustafarian hipsters, Mr. Graham did a public service.
The video begins at the arrest; we do not see the victims. Stop the rush to judgement.

Advocating violence, regardless of the victims, is not funny.

And people still don't understand why cops beat the shit out of scumbag cocksuckers every once in a while? They have to deal with the biggest pieces of shit on a daily basis. Let 'em cave in a skull once in a while.
Here's what will happen: Chucky will post bail within 24 hours, then he'll hire a top-notch defense lawyer, spare no expense, and he'll beat the charges.
Nah Chucky is obviously mentally ill like a lot of vagrants that attack people. Instead of being held in a mental health facility, he'll be under observation for two weeks and then released back onto the street; since the city and state refuses to pay for the lifelong supervision a lot of these crazies actually need.

No, Charles is probably locked in the tombs or Rikers where he will be for over a year or more before he even gets his day in court. I don't know what is so mentally ill about him -- if it was 2 against 1, I see no problem in using a bottle for self defense.

Yes, definitely.

classic, racist, 'gotcha' journalism.... showing a black guy actually doing what he's doing.

Where else is he supposed to keep the broken bottle? Pfftt....
Hopefully he was caught with a lit cigarette in his mouth too...

Hmmm, a broken bottle in his sock. Not bad. Kind of makes the underwear bomber look like a pussy.
