Kevin Smith Goes Reality TV Route, Brings NJ Comic Book Store To AMC

silentbob0611.jpg Kevin Smith is dragging New Jersey further into the reality television vortex, with a new reality show set in his comic book shop, The Secret Stash. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "the project will focus on fans and revolve around the two guys who work at the New Jersey store."

It will air on AMC, and yesterday Smith Tweeted that the network was "A really cool one. That makes awesome shows. That I watch."

Smith would produce the project, which will allegedly be unscripted. There's a casting call posted on Facebook, noting they're looking for male and female comic book fans from the tristate area, and in the age range of 21 to 35. Probably someone a little bit less... like this:

Noise noise noise, schmokin weed, drinkin beers...

Coincidentally Netflix Instant Watch just added Miramax films last week.  I've rewatched Chasing Amy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.  Clerks is next!  Didn't see Dogma, but hope it's in there too.

Only things missing are An Evening with Kevin Smith, Evening Harder, and Threevening.  Too Fat for Forty is pretty boss though.

    they are also on hulu+

  •  IIRC, Dogma was distributed via Lions Gate, so it wouldn't be up as part of the Miramax deal.
