Freak Of Nature: Blue Lobster!

Holy cats, look at this lobster! It's blue! Really, really blue. It is the same Smurfy shade of blue as the one recently caught off the coast of Prince Edward Island, and according to the Mystic Aquarium, only one in a million lobsters are blue, due to a genetic defect. Also: "Blue lobsters tend to be more aggressive because their coloring attracts predators, which may be why so few survive in the wild." And, in case you're wondering, "When a blue lobster is cooked, it ends up looking just like any of its brethren, a baked orange color."

I have what they called a blue lobster, but everyone says it is a crawfish. But do crawfish have the long antennae like lobsters? Because mine does, and he ate my albino frog. :(

Lobsters live in salt water.

The WalMart "Lobster" eating a goldfish.......well, goldfish live in freash water.

So.......the WalMart "lobster" is more likely a Crawfish.

But, what do I know.

I think the "Blue Lobster" from Walmart, is actually a crayfish. There is a pretty common species of crayfish that is blue.

I saw a blue lobster at some aquarium when I was little. Didn't realize they were that rare. Also, it's creepy watching that thing eat. Looks like an alien.
