2008_12_metslogo.jpg Mets 9, Phillies 5: Jose Reyes is doing his best to show off his skills to any potential suitors. The Mets shortstop had four hits, including two triples, helping the Mets win the final game of their series against the Phillies. Reyes had two-triples in a game for the 3rd time this season. Nearly all of the scoring for the Mets came with two outs — 8 runs and 13 hits were with two runs. Jon Niese got the win, allowing just one unearned run in 6 1/3 innings.

Yankees 7, Mariners 1: Out west, the Yankees were able to get their first win of the series as well. The Yankees put up a five spot in the 3rd inning, scoring all their runs with two outs and batting around in the inning. CC Sabathia won his third straight game, pitching 8 innings and allowing a lone run.
