Free Food Alert: DoubleTree Cookies All Over Manhattan

Hilton Hotels is celebrating 25 years of its DoubleTree cookies today by bringing yet another free food truck to the streets of New York. Free cookies, anyone?

In addition to the truck they call a "CAREavan"—which will be handing out free cookies in front of the Supreme Court Building at Foley Square until 4 p.m.—the DoubleTree team has "cookie ambassadors" stationed around the city to ply feed your sweet tooth gratis. Look for them at these other Manhattan locations:


  • Hampton Jitney Stop: 59th Street on the west side of Lexington between 59th & 60th in front of Nine West, across from Bloomingdales

  • Penn Station: Seventh and Eighth Avenue between 31st Street & 33rd Street

  • Grand Central Station: 89 East 42nd Street at Park Avenue

  • Staten Island Ferry: Whitehall and Water Streets

  • Port Authority Bus Terminal: Located from 40th to 42nd streets, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues

  • Times Square-42nd Street Subway: Broadway and West 42nd Street

  • NYU Shuttle Stop: 715 Broadway Washington Square

  • South Street Seaport (Financial District): Fulton & South Streets, Pier 17

The Hilton folk expect to give out some 50,000 free cookies today.

    Is this a hoax or something? None at the Port Authority or Times Square either.

    Went to south street seaport. There were NO cookies!!!! Very disappointed. F-.
