Video: Zach Galifianakis Beard Bombs MSNBC At 1:30 A.M.

beardbomb0511.jpg

After his Hangover II co-star Ed Helms hosted Satuday Night Live over the weekend, Zach Galifianakis grabbed comedians Nick Kroll and Al Madrigal and infiltrated the MSNBC studios, as anchor Veronica De La Cruz delivered the news on the air at 1:30 a.m. You can see the trio in the video below, and also in the MSNBC screenshot above (Cruz seemed cool with it, later taking a photo with them). And Kroll says, "this is now on my reel."

  • What do you guys have against Zach? He's a great comedian.  I'm sorry he's no Dane Cook LOL!  Do you guys think he looks better without his beard? or with his beard...

I kind of like him without

Of course she was 'cool with it.' It was prearranged to be such a 'spontaneous' gag, in order to garner interest for MSNBC and The Hangover 2.

Except that H2 is a Warner Bros movie, and Time Warner is a direct competitor to NBCUniversal, which owns MSNBC, so it doesn't make much sense as a promotional stunt.

  • ganghiscon

That's like saying it doesn't make sense that the Hangover 2 stars would be on The Tonight Show, which I'm sure they were.  Cross promotion exists: NBC wants people to watch their shows, Time Warner wants people to see their movies.

Who cares, make him and his boring beard GO AWAY.

  • robingee

     He's awesome; you are wrong.
