Last Night's Action: Two Wins!

2008_12_yankeeslogo.jpg Yankees 3 Kansas City 1: Freddy Garcia continued his renaissance, tossing six-plus innings while allowing only one run. The victory improved his record to 2-2 and lowered his ERA to a tidy 2.61. The bullpen deserves plenty of credit as well as David Robertson escaped a big jam in the 7th and Joba and Mo threw zeros in the 8th and 9th to lock down the game. The offense came from two big singles- Jeter's in the 3rd and A-Rod's in the 5th.

Mets 4 Colorado 3
: New York jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to an Ike Davis single. Mike Pelfrey made that hold up and added to it with his own two-rbi double. K-Rod recorded the final three outs for his 10th save.
