The Lunch Quadrant: Penn Station

Welcome to the Lunch Quadrant, where we offer you four lunch options (two standing, two sitting) by a given subway stop. Last week we looked around West 4th Street and today we're riding the A/C/E up a few stops to the culinary dead zone that is the Penn Station area. Sure there are a slew of fast food joints for the hungry traveler, and a giant beer garden is on the way, but any office worker in the area will tell you that Penn Station is not the best for fine fare (though K-Town on 32nd Street is a boon). We've picked four solid options for you, but if you've got any further suggestions please don't be shy about putting them in the comments!

If any of these places are in the Penn Station Area they are on the extreme fringe.

  • +1 on Tawa Tandoor. That place is tasty.

  • Saying that Keen's is in the Penn Station area is really stretching definitions, but whatever. Their mutton chop is a work of art.
