Earlier this morning, a man was stabbed outside a McDonald's on 8th Avenue, between 34th and 35th Streets, in midtown Manhattan. The sidewalk is still roped off as the police investigate the incident.

DNAinfo reports, "Officers pried open several subway grates in the sidewalk nearby and looked inside, and also pored through trash cans on the block." A doorman who saw two men arguing also said "he saw...one man... attacking the other, who tried to fend the assailant off with a walking cane. The victim was dressed in a white shirt and blazer, he said." The suspect reportedly just walked away.

One person Tweeted, "Block shut down, detectives with bad haircuts in front of McDonalds," while another Tweeted of the cop presence, "NYPD being really nasty to people on 8th btn 34th and 35th. One just yelled at old woman crossing to "get back on the fucking sidewalk." Ugh."

    And this is news why?

The cop probably yelled at her because she was the 40th person to try to walk in the street, and towards the crime scene.

Sidewalks are for people. Streets are for vehicles (including bicycles).

Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect. Why bother wasting the time and money painting this on the squad cars?
