HBO starts production of its latest political movie, Game Change, on Wednesday and the first picture of its star, Julianne Moore, dressed up in Sarah Palin drag was released today. Gone is Moore's famous red tresses, replaced with Palin's brown hair (and famous updo). What do we think, does she pull it off?

The movie, from the same team as 2008's Recount (director Jay Roach and writer Danny Strong), has lined up an interesting cast including Ed Harris as John McCain, Woody Harrelson as McCain's advisor Steve Schmidt, Temple Grandin's Melissa Farman as Bristol Palin, CSI's Larry Sullivan as Palin's deputy chief of staff Chris Edwards, and Trauma's Jamey Sheridan as McCain's speechwriter Mark Salter.

    may i just ask, WHY?

  • Guest

I can't believe they got someone so beautiful to portray this hag. Ugh!

  • lovetheusa1776

Moore is not particularly attractive with her big chin and nose like she's smelling her upper lip. She's a good actress and will do a workmanlike job, I'm sure - but, a beauty? Don't think so.

I guess that's a matter of opinion, then. Still, she's much more attractive than Palin.

  • lovetheusa1776

Sorry, don't think so. Moore has that shovel-shaped face - have always disliked her appearance. But, as you said, one's opinion.

  • Hoping her Palin accent is as good as her Boston accent from 30 Rock: http://gtcha.me/eIzCp3

This is a year too late. Palin is fading into obscurity. By the time it hits HBO, she will have completely disappeared, voluntarily I might add, from the public spotlight. Her intent was never to run for president or take on any other responsibility in government. All she wanted to do was ride the gravy train as long as she could, and she did so effectively. The GOP used her as a mouthpiece to say all the outrageous things to whip up their moronic base, without having to say it themselves. They succeeded at that. Now that this continued tactic would be more of a liability than an asset, she is bowing out. Just as I predicted. This is much ado about nothing. And the media bought it, hook line and sinker.

The liberal obsession/hate fest with Sarah Palin continues. Let's hope this movie doesn't take any cheap shots at her Downs Syndrome son Trig like certain gutless, slime ball left wing pundits have done recently.

  • Cheap shots? How about all the times Pailn said Obama hangs out with terrorists and hates America.

Also, don't forget that it's liberals who fund programs to educate Down's Syndrome children and keep them healthy, while conservative repeatedly fight against such funding.

  • lovetheusa1776

He did hang out with terrorists. Pretty ugly ones, too. Check his associates in Chicago. Don't think he hates America - just not particularly enthused - if you go by his apology tours overseas.

  • masterjarvis

thank you i wish i had brought those things up too

  • i love how when a liberal points out the obvious (sarah palin and her complete and utter unawareness of what would be needed to run a country, etc) it is an obsession but when the conservatives do ridiculous things (like ask for the presidents birth certificate, continually call him muslim, etc) it is 'fair and balanced'.

  • Roger_the_Shrubber

How to run a country? Palin is at least smart enough to know it's better for the economy that we drill for our own oil and natural gas rather than send our money overseas to people who hate our guts.

  • lovetheusa1776

Yeah - like how BO's all enthused about drilling in Brazil - OK for them, but not for us, apparently.

  • SPsGhost

    The Canadians hate our guts?

  • Roger_the_Shrubber

A guy I know from Ottawa certainly does.

  • Guest

    When did Canada become overseas?

  • Roger_the_Shrubber

What's wrong with being a muslim?

  • There's nothing wrong with being a Muslim. But there is something wrong with calling someone a Muslim who is not a Muslim, especially when the racist anti-Obama crowd is using the Muslim thing to imply that our president isn't "one of us."

  • hc792

    Examples of the cheap shots?
