Oprah Winfrey Announces New Dream: Conquer Broadway
You didn't think Oprah Winfrey was going to end her long-running television show and not have a plan, did you? Turns out the talk show host has set a new goal for herself: dominate the Broadway stage. On her show Friday, she told Chris Rock (currently on Broadway in Motherfu*ker With The Hat), "It’s the one thing I want to do... It’s my dream."
Arts Beat notes that her only Broadway credit to date is producing the musical The Color Purple, though she's also gotta get points for being one of the only fans of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Maybe if she can't save the soaps, she can at least give Bono a hand.
And soap opera fanatics... in a video (below) Oprah explained why she can't save your stories... now quit filling up her message boards about it.
