Man Throws Dog In Poop-Fueled Outrage

We've had a few instances of people throwing dog poop in anger, but this is the first time we've come across someone throwing the dog that did the pooping. Long Island man Jaime Sanchez has been charged with torturing animals and reckless endangerment after throwing his neighbor's one-year-old dachshund into the street, angry that the dog, named Coco, may have been planning to relieve itself on his lawn.

Neighbor Barbara Bottiglieri had reportedly been walking Coco by Sanchez's house when he warned her to not let Coco onto his lawn. "She's constantly letting her dog defecate and urinate on our property," Sanchez's wife told the Daily News. Sanchez threatened to release his 50-pound dog on them, and when Bottiglieri said she'd call the police, Sanchez grabbed Coco's leash and swung the dog into the air. Coco landed ten feet in the middle of the road, and the hard landing caused injuries to her tail and ruptured stitches from a recent spaying.

Sanchez's wife didn't see the altercation, but says her husband told her, "I grabbed the leash and I moved the dog off my property." Cops soon arrived, and neighbors were shocked to find out what happened. One said, "You're not a man when you confront a woman and toss a dog into the air." However, the altercation didn't stop Coco from doing her business; Sanchez's wife said Bottiglieri had the "audacity" to let Coco pee on their lawn hours later.

I am talking to all of you responders who are blaming the dog for this action: #1. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO RESPOND NEGATIVELY ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD NEVER OWN ANY ANIMALS AT ALL.
#2. I am an animal advocate and I am very angry to learn that most of you spend most of your lives living violently. I am also angry at you so-called "humans" who are blaming an innocent animal of doing something that is a normal function. It is the people who should be cleaning up after their animals in the first place.
The so-called "human" who grabbed the poor animal and flung him into the street should have his dog taken away from him and he should not be allowed to own any animal at all because he doesn't deserve it. He is the perfect example of a person who is crazy and should have some anger management. I hope that this so-called person spends time in jail for this crazy stunt.
The woman who owns the poor dog victim should stop irritating this man and stay away from him. She needs counseling.

i hate dog owners. my neighborhood is covered in dog piss and shit and it's disgusting. this situation ranks extremely high on my list of quality-of-life complaints, way higher than anything bike-related. arresting and/or heavily fining dog owners who do not clean up after their disgusting animals needs to be stepped up. repeat offenders should have to forfeit their stupid dogs with no hope of return. we need a giant deterrent to this behavior.

Couldn't agree more, and I love dogs! When I fostered one, he only peed in the street (at the curb), and I always carried poo baggies with me.
