Easter Sunday Dining Options Worth Dying (And Rising Again) For

The best part of Easter Sunday—after the colorful Fifth Avenue Parade and before the Peeps sugar coma—is always what we like to call, the "Easter-Feaster". Maybe you've got family in town, or you've convinced your mother you can't make it out for her "famous" lamb shank this time, or you just want somewhere to show off your Easter bonnet. Whatever your reason, there's no judgment here; check out these six promising options.

World Yacht: Would you, could you, spend your Easter on a boat? The World Yacht is kicking off their spring season this Sunday with a special family friendly Easter Brunch with tickets priced at $69.14 each. Their new Brunch Cruise Menu includes the basics—from mimosas and spinach and sundried tomato-stuffed chicken breast, to potatoes au gratin. And really, what is Easter Sunday without reheated potatoes au gratin!? While mommy and daddy sip their champy (they’re on a boat, after all…) the tykes can take their complimentary Easter baskets with them to meet the on-board Easter bunny.

Cebu: Bay Ridge bistro Cebu is offering a three-course prix fixe Easter brunch menu this Sunday for $45. The bill of fare includes Green Pea Soup with a Duck Confit Crouton, Pan Fried Brook Trout with Lentils, Brown Butter and Ramps (Rampmania 2011 is real!), and a saccharine selection of desserts like Flourless Chocolate-Espresso Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. No word yet on whether or not Ted Nugent, or The Nuge, will be spending his Easter at Cebu, which his long-lost son owns.

10 Downing: Those who fancy the “farm-to-table” cuisine aesthetic can treat themselves to 10 Downing’s three-course prix fixe brunch and dinner menus ($28 and $45 respectively) this Easter. The folks at 10 Downing are right, “if it’s Easter, there’s gotta be eggs,” They will offer “Skillet Eggs & Ham with Cheddar Grits, Mushroom and Kale” for brunch and their dinner menu includes “Roasted Leg of Lamb with Rosemary Crust and Fingerling Potatoes.” And the dessert menu presents a Spiced Organic Carrot Cake to arouse the inner Easter bunny in all of us.

Quattro Gastronomia Italiana: How do you say ‘bunny’ in Italian? The upscale restaurant at the Trump Soho Hotel, Quattro Gastronomia Italiana,invites you to have the “Perfect Pasqua” with them this Sunday. Quattro promises authentic Northern Italian cuisine to patrons with their $65 tasting menu, “guests are taken through a four-course sensory celebration that’s options include Torta Pasqualina con Fonduta al Raschera, a traditional Italian Easter tart filled with baby spinach bufalo ricotta and herbs” and “Colombre Pasquale alle Mandorle con Gelato al Miele, a traditional almond Easter cake served with honey gelato,“ They will also have an assortment of custom created chocolate Easter eggs to sample from, in case Cadbury Crème Eggs are a little too lowbrow for your palate this Palm Sunday.

Baci e Abbraci: Italian for “Hugs and Kisses,” Baci e Abbraci wants you to do the huggin’ and kissin’ with your family this Easter Sunday in Williamsburg. They will offer a special $30 prix fixe menu that includes traditional Italian Easter dishes like Slow Cooked Lamb Shank with Mashed Potatoes and Artichokes and Pan Seared Skate with Lemon and Capers, Served with Sauteed Spinach. And we suggest a makeshift Easter egg hunt at McCarren Park after your meal. If the weather's nice, they've got a nice little backyard waiting for you.

Bell Book & Candle: New York's ultimate locavore restaurant, Bell Book & Candle, invites you and yours to indulge in a family style Easterat their West Village location, which boasts a rooftop aeroponic, energy efficient, garden! The tasting menu includes Roasted Leg of Lamb with Spring Vegetables and Natural Jus as an entrée, and families can choose from a variety of largely portioned appetizers such as Crispy Fried Oysters, Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs, and Wild Mushrooms with Ramps (we won’t judge BB&C for contributing to the great ramp shortage of 2011) to accompany their mutton-meal at $45 a person.
