At the scene (PardonMeForAsking)

[Update below] Moments ago a man was stabbed multiple times outside of Joe's Superette on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens. Police are on the scene and the victim has been taken to Lutheran Hospital in serious condition. After the stabbing, the perp reportedly jumped into the passenger side of a black Lexus and sped off.

Initial reports say the victim is in his early 40s. The stabbing also took place as school was about to let out across the street.

Update: An anonymous tipster sends us the following update:
I work as a medic in the downtown brooklyn area. So this guy pulls up in front of Long Island College hospital in a black lexus suv, staggers out, and walks up the ambulance bay. Evidently, he was the guy that stabbed the other guy in the article. He himself interesting enough, stabbed. Actually smeared blood all over the er doors trying to get in. So trust me, no man hunt. The other guy as per what we heard on the radio has multiple stab wounds to the chest and back, and was raced to the trauma center @ lutheran and is in critical condition. And to avoid all the racist trolling, seemed like a dispute between two italian guys "from the neighborhood" as they say. So that's the story.

Update Two: The victim of the stabbing appears to be Mark Iacono, the owner of Lucali's. He is reportedly in critical condition with "stab wounds to his throat, back and legs," according to authorities.

As for Iacono's assailant, the Post confirms our earlier report that an unidentified man showed up at Long Island College Hospital with slash wounds to his hand. He was arrested on site.

It could be that this person lacked discipline as a child.. Kids need discipline. When my kid was four years old we had a problem with him talking to strangers. Here's how we solved the problem. I had a friend from work drive by the house while my kid was playing in the yard. He lured him to his car with the old "wanna see a puppy?" story. Then he threw him in the back seat and drove away with him. He shouted threats at him for nearly two hours, things like "You'll never see your mommy and daddy again!". Then he dropped him off at a distant 7-11. I just "happened" to be driving by and picked him up. Since then he speaks to no one nor does he make eye contact with anyone. He rarely leaves the house. He has a slight twitch on the right side of his face but that's a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Oh, wait... it was a dispute between two Italians. Sorry, everyone. I should've made sure the perps in this story were black. I'll double check next time before posting. My bad.

I'm sure the car didn't go far, they only need to look a few blocks away at the subsidize government housing. only in nyc where poor folks have nicer cars and private parking.
