Last Night's Action: Deja Vu

David Wright consoles Bobby Parnell after Parnell gave up a two run home run (AP)
Colorado 7 Mets 6: Just like Sunday, the Mets bullpen melted down and gave away the game. Mike Pelfrey pitched better than he has, but 5.1 innings and three earned runs is certainly not up to the standards the Mets expect. When he was pulled in the sixth, Colorado was trailing 4-2 with two runners on and one out. Ryota Igarashi made things worse by walking the first hitter he faced and then making a terrible throw home on what should have been an easy double-play. Carlos Gonzalez made the Mets pay by singling home two runs and tying the game.

Bobby Parnell then really made a mess of things giving up a single, uncorking a wild pitch, making a throwing error and surrendering a two-run homer to give Colorado a 7-4 lead. David Wright added a solo shot and Ike Davis a RBI single to make it a one-run game, but the Mets' last six hitters went down in order.

Charlotte 105 Nets 103: Brook Lopez had 31 points, but a DJ Augustin jumper with one second left was the difference.

The Mets are a 90 loss ball club. David Wright is the only bat that scares you. Retread pitchers.

No top talent in the farm system. Gross.

    "Charlotte 105 Nets 103"

I think Charlotte is overdue for a MLB franchise, I would like to see the Mets in contention.
