Drunk Man Falls Into Subway Tracks, Train Severs His Leg

Last night, a 66-year-old man was hit by a D train at the Bay 50th Street station in Brooklyn around 7:30 p.m. According to the Daily News, "The victim told rescue workers he had fallen onto the track bed, an MTA official said... His left leg was severed under the knee and his right leg was crushed"

The cops say the man was drunk, "The motorman saw the man walking on the tracks and tried to brake, police said."

    I look forward to the $50 million lawsuit some lawyer will eventually convince him to file against the MTA.

  • It's so easy to stand six feet back and NOT fall in front of a train. How anybody can sue the MTA when they get drunk and fall off the platform is beyond me. These people should just do us all favor and put their heads on the tracks.

    It would be a sad irony if he were taking the train instead of driving drunk.
