Video: Franco Commits Online Suicide (Allegedly!), And Blames Hathaway For Bombing Oscars
So why did James Franco supposedly bomb at the Oscars? He's thought about it long and hard, and yesterday told David Letterman, "I think I know why, because—I love her—but Anne Hathaway is so energetic, I think the Tasmanian Devil would look stoned standing next to Anne Hathaway." Letterman has also been criticized for screwing up as host of the Oscars (in a poll, 47% thought Franco and Hathaway gave Letterman competition for Worst Host Ever). A preview from the show, which will air tonight, is below.
Enough Oscars talk... WHAT HAPPENED TO JAMES FRANCO'S TWITTER? April Fools Day? 4Chan? Bruce Vilanch? Did James Franco actually quit something?
We may never know. But at least a Yahoo! Answers thread has been started. That resource is usually pure comedy gold, but today it delivers only HEARTBREAK. One poster writes: "I wish I had a definitive answer, but I don't. I'm missing him too. I feel like I got dumped by him... with no explanation.... no closure. Glad I saved some of the pics of him laying tired in bed before site went down."
Yikes.
UPDATE: Franco was allegedly banned from Twitter after posting this NSFW photo from a short film he's collaborated on with Harmomy Korine, called Rebel.

So you can curse like a sailor on twitter, but no nudie pics? Ok... I guess they don't follow Wayne Coyne. He posts nudie pics of his wife all the damn time.
They should probably check out WNYC too. From this morning:
WNYC Radio Anal of Obama #energy policy, w deets of how "drill baby drill" wasn't in line w GOP talking pts -- per Rep P King http://bit.ly/ebMCof
According to James Franco's official news update on twitter (@JamesFrancoNews) they said the following (apparently after seeking out a statement from his PA Dana Morgan) He was deleted due to a photograph with nudity (from his project with Harmony Korine) and is now in the process of creating his own site with no posting restrictions.
