DJ Megatron DJ Megatron, a regular personality on BET's 106th and Park and a DJ on HOT 97, was shot and killed early this morning in Stapleton, Staten Island. Police have yet to officially release the victim's name, but father-in-law Keith Robinson identified the victim as Corey McGriff, AKA DJ Megatron, to the Daily News.
McGriff died of a single gunshot wound to the chest, but there have been no arrests. One friend said, “I just dont understand, how could anyone want to do this. he Didnt have beef with anyone, who would want to hurt him." Friend Lisa Torres said she had spoken to McGriff a few hours before the shooting: "He just called me. He asked me if I was going to [a friend's] party."
