Around 3 a.m. we received word over the wire that there was a "large crowd" on 168 Delancey Street, AKA bar & nightclub The Delancey. However, the NYPD told us, "That's just typical of any night. It's not something we would be reporting on," so we'll have to rely on our "Twitnesses" for information. Here's what we're piecing together.
Last night "Michelle & Angeliqua" held a birthday party at The Delancey starting at 9 p.m., and by about 4 a.m. Chuck Holliday had written, "Police presence in the LES/Essex/Delancey pocket is INSANE. Cars on every other block. Cops on horses. Long overdue considering the behavior." Around the same time, "SwiftFresh" wrote, "Niggaz Jus Tried To Front On Me And My Son @_ProlificJones But We Good... Still Pretty After The Fight!!! Niggaz Is PUSSY!" and, "We Aint Start That Fight, We Damn Sure Finished It Tho!!! #TwinTowerTakeOver."
Angeliqua later wrote, "Yeah we will I'm upset about that . Idk who that boy who started it was I'll fine out." Our theory? One man's rage against pooping police ponies went too far, and pulled a Mongo:
