From kidnapping babies over Hot Pockets to preferring knives over guns in their violence, the people of Staten Island have their own special way of committing crimes (and hate crimes). And the story of the stripping, speeding and screaming Anthony Maniscalco of Grasmere just adds to the mystique.

First, the stripping. Back in November the 27-year-old was caught on video, according to the police, taking his clothes off, throwing a shoe at a Camaro, kicking the railing of a front porch, pulling down the porch light, kicking the front door and trying to break into a house on Hamden Avenue. He was indicted in that case in January, along with another case involving grand larceny and reckless endangerment, and let out on bail for $17,500.

Now the speeding. The afternoon of February 21 police tried to pull over a '99 Chevrolet Tahoe for a window tint violation but instead of stopping the car fled, leading police on a chase in which he topped 80 MPH on several streets as well as drove the wrong way down several one-way streets. Eventually he got away.

Finally, the screaming. Police figured out that it Maniscalo was behind the wheel and called him on his cellphone on Tuesday. At which point he lost it, allegedly screaming at the officer on the phone "Now I'm looking for you! I'm going to kill you! You are going to die!"

Maniscalo was arrested at his home a few hours later.
