Congressman Keith Ellison Breaks Down During Testimony at King's Hearing
Joseph McCarthy's Rep. Peter King's hearing on "Muslim radicalization" began with the moving testimony of Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota), one of two Muslims in Congress. Ellison broke down during his moving testimony in which he described the sacrifice of Mohammed Salman Hamdani, a Muslim and first-responder who perished on September 11, 2001 and was later the subject of unfounded rumors that he conspired with the hijackers.
"Hamdani was a fellow American who gave his life for other Americans," Ellison testified. "His life should not be identified as just a member of an ethnic group or just a member of a religion but as an American who gave everything for his fellow Americans."
Plato thousands of years ago gave humanity some good advice for harmonious societies delete text purported to be from Gods which informs evil action.
Everyone of us base our lives on less than perfect text. To target one without the other is rather hypocritical.
It should be about all text which vilifies other Religious or Secular not persons.
The fact is Muslims are already radicalized the reason being from the Islamic texts Quran foundation chapter "THE COW" onwards vilification of and justification of 'grevious harm' against other is the main theme.
This is why terrorists are good boys and girls coming from good Muslim families. It is that simple.
The radical Muslim clerics are not triggering anything they are simply providing the opportunity. The trigger has already been created by the basic Islamic text which forms all Muslims.
The fact all Muslims do not act on it is irrelevant for as we see enough Muslims do from generation to generation to perpetuate the terror against other.
If you read the Quran - only Chapter "THE COW" which sets up the framework by which the Islamic text will be challenged, vilifies the perpetrators sets them as less and then informs the remedy 'grevious harm' with the ultimate authority God authorizing all within, given this is an old recipe for genocide against other and the terror we clearly are experiencing would it not be rational to be rightfully concerned?
Also more importantly as we are all formed by textual constructs such as the Islamic text, there may just exist evil text informing evil action and we should seek it out be it secular or religious so we can change the future for humanity?
Change the text forming our new citizen’s change the outcomes otherwise more of the same.
This means not just looking at Islamic text but other texts within our communities which are used to form new citizens and accept the fact finally ‘Freedom of Religion’ has been a curse on society because we are not able to easily challenge such Religious text which generates real evil against other without being erroneously labeled and censured.

These infidels have some nerve!
Whenever there's another major atrocity committed by muslims somewhere, I never see other muslims worked up with outrage at the muslims who committed the attack in the name of their religion. I do however hear a lot of them immediately start to whine about the impending "backlash" by non-muslims they are sure is just about to happen but never does.
izzy371
just because they don't show it on Faux News, doesn't mean it doesn't actually happen.
Homer2323
US DOJ statistics for 2009 show anti-semitic crimes outnumber anti muslim crimes by 6-1.
SPsGhost
the average annual US murder rate is about 16,000 per year. of those there are maybe at most 2-3 murders committed by "radical islamists" in the name of their faith. it's a non issue. it's racism, it's xenophobia, and most of all, it's a diversion tactic meant to distract dimwit cowards such as yourself from real issues.

You liberal nitwits are obsessed with Fox News. Heaven forbid there should be one network that doesn't lean as far left as the others.
cmdrogogov
There is no left-leaning major news network in the US.
Homer2323
You forgot NON in front of 'left'. And dont forget CNN/MSNBC/NPR/PBS
SPsGhost
those are all centrist news orgs at best, plagued with the disease of false equivalence.
Roger_the_Shrubber
Hahaha. Good one. I suppose if you are to the left of Che Guevara, it might seem that way.

No, he's British. Britain is this place where the vast majority of the population doesn't come across as completely insane.

I think you need to check out the show 'an idiot abroad'. I think that will DEF change your opinion on normal english people.

I've lived in the U.K. I prefer to form my opinions based on real life experiences over that which is shown on "reality" television.

I have no problem with it, in moderation. I do have a problem with people who use it as their only news source. These are the same people who think "google it" is a legitimate response when asked to source a reference.
If you weren't among them, then you would probably know that the majority of moderate Muslims do condom terrorist attacks.
BoogieDown
I have a problem with people who use it as any kind of news source. I have no problem with them airing as an "opinion network", but to brand that shit as news should be 100% illegal. In fact, they just made it illegal in Canada this week.

If someone really wants to earn my unending admiration, they should get the living relatives of Sharon McBride to show up to this meeting and ask Peter King, again, exactly how proud he is of having been the IRA's #1 apologist in the US Congress for years.
Homer2323
The panel’s first witness was Abdirizak Bihi, a Somali-American activist from Ellison’s hometown of Minneapolis. Bihi told the committee that after his nephew disappeared — apparently having been recruited to join Al-Shabaab, a suspected terrorist cell in Somalia — local and national Muslim organizations TURNED on his family and others for reporting it to authorities.
Clearly this guy is a big time GOP voter. Clearly. Liberals are free to be in denial if they wish.
izzy371
And who decided who gets to testify, why the self admitted terrorist supporter. Sorry if I don't take this puppet's word for it.
This entire hearing is a sham, it is the exact same thing as the MaCarthy trials. If you believe anything coming out of this, you probably believed it before when Glen Beck proved it to you on a blackboard and didn't need your bigotry legitimized by government hearings.
SpanishMN
Why not feature the testimony by the moderate Muslim voice, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser? No on in the liberal press is quoting his very intelligent, yet moderate comments. His voice is being silenced! He said we need to eliminate the histrionics. Even Ellison said we need need to eliminate the theatrical reactions: "They think that we're having a legitimate hearing based on real investigation," Ellison said. "What we're actually doing is having a theatrical performance not really designed to get to the heart of the matter." Ironically it was he that provided the theatrical, emotional performance.
Roger_the_Shrubber
I'd like to hear the testimony of Muslim women such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Wafa Sultan and their experiences with radical Islam. But I don't think anybody in congress would have the balls to invite them.
