The bodies were found in the trunk of a missing NJ couple's Nissan Altima parked on East 52nd Street near Snyder Avenue in East Flatbush. Evande Orna and Troy Edwards, both of Plainfield, NJ, were last seen driving to Richmond, Virginia on February 20, but then they vanished; Orna's mother became concerned when she didn't hear from her daughter, who called her every day.

The Richmond police, which found red-stained sheets and duct tape in the apartment where Orna and Edwards were apparently staying, tipped off the NYPD that couple's car was in Brooklyn, but WABC 7 reports, "It's not clear how Richmond Police got that information."

The police are going to determine the identities of the bodies, but they believe they belong to Orna and Edwards.

Not to be overly morbid, but I'm really interested to see what the hell happened here, and to see if those two bodies are Orna and Edwards. Somehow, though, I smell another Craigslist disaster.

Not in this article: the couple rented the 2011 Altima for the trip. It probably had a transponder / Lojack system in it from the rental company. Just a guess as to how the Richmond cops knew it was in Brooklyn.
