Giants legend Lawrence Taylor was in court again last week, but not for a crime—he dealing with his ex-wife's request that he increase child support payments for his 13-year-old daughter who is chronically ill from Crohn's disease. But Taylor, who recently pleaded guilty to charges related to felony statutory rape, actually wants the child support to be reduced.

According to the Post, Taylor offered a statement on why he can't afford $456/week, "My income is generated solely by my popularity as a celeb. The fact that I last played in 1993 and legal problems in Rockland County ... have severely diminished my ability to obtain income.... I have no college degree or special skills other than athletics."

The child, Erielle, is one of Taylor's seven children from a number of different women. The girl's mother, Ebony Washington, has claimed that "she and Taylor had a deal that he'd increase support payments when his older kids grew up and he was less financially strapped." Last week, Taylor failed in his attempt to shut the media out of the child support hearings.
