Defiant Snowmounds Shake Filthy Fists at Spring's Awakening

The sun was out (albeit briefly) this weekend, and layers of clothing were being cast off all over town Saturday as the high reached a heavenly 61 degrees. But it seems some people aren't getting the message—and by "people" we mean the depraved, filthy remnants of this snowy winter which we've anthropomorphized as a desperate coping mechanism. Laughing Squid and Improv Everywhere's Charlie Todd both took note of dead-ender snowbanks clinging to power around town this weekend. And this morning, even after all that rain yesterday, this resilient S.O.B. was still flipping New York the bird. We've dubbed him the Moammer Gadhafi of snowbanks, and are calling in the napalm strike.

I guess winter finally took my advice to eat shit and die.

  • There are a couple on Baltic bet Smith and Hoyt still taking up our parking spaces. Bastards.

  • We like to call it snirt. Snow dirt.

  • Dude, i think that is a dead body

this is more dirt than snow, its like 90% of dirt, trash, pee, crap, dead rats, and super-dust clinging onto 10% of snow. and the layer of crapdirt is so thick that it creates a protective shield for the snow such that it is not melting from the sunlight and warm weather. however it is the snow that is attracting the dirt, thereby creating an endless cycle that can only be ended with the second coming of jesus and/or the apocalypse.

The one on Pacific St and 6th Ave in Brooklyn is still waaaaaaay bigger than that one.

I call it Mt St Dogpoo...

Someone should animate this slithering down the road. Kind of like "The Blob" but a 3d version because that trend seems to be all the rage.

I think Star Trek already did. (It's a dead horta from Janus IV.)
