Park Slope Sexual Assault Has Residents On Edge

022711sexualassault.jpg Though police still haven't released the location of Friday's sexual assault in Park Slope, but various sources are reporting that the suspect attacked the victim while she was at work at a bakery. The assault happened at 9 a.m. and the suspect is still on the loose. One local told ABC 7, "I mean 9 am, that's crazy, there's a lot of people out at 9am."

Neighborhood businesses are on alert after the attack. Chrissi Wagner of Ladybird bakery told the Daily News, "You think you're safe here in Park Slope, but I guess nowhere is safe. It makes me feel better that we always have more than one person here working at all times." Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described at 5'5" and 160 pounds.

  • Here we go again:

NO MENTION of the fact that this "black man," or shall we say "dark complexioned person," is a suspect in a sexual assault. THAT should RERALLY help in the "public's assistance."

Call it what it is or DO NOT "report the news."
ENOUGH of the silliness MEDIA. You mighrt as well be HELPING the criminals and the greedy pillage this country.

JUST like randomly CAPITALIZING words in YOUR sentence WILL get YOUR point ACROSS!
  • Police are still searching for the suspect, who is described at 5'5" and 160 pounds.

It's sort of pointless to use this politically correct description when the linked ABC7 article is more explicit.

Actually, I was going off the statement that we received from the 78th Precinct, which described the attacker as "approximately 5'5" tall, 160 lbs. He was wearing dark colored clothing." It gave no other details.

Agreed- the omission feels like implicit racism.
