St. John's 60 Pittsburgh 59: The Red Storm punched their tournament ticket with an emphatic win over another Top-10 team thanks to Dwight Hardy and Steve Lavin's sneakers. Hardy scored the winning basket with just over a second left, the final two of his team-leading 19 points. Lavin sneakers improved to 6-1 and have become the most important good luck charm for the Johnnies since Looie's sweaters.

Islanders 3 L.A. 0: Matt Moulson scored twice, his 22nd and 23rd goals of the season and Al Montoya had the best game of his young career. Montoya stopped all thirty-five shots he faced as he won the fifth game of his career.

Devils 4 Carolina 1: Hottest team in the NHL? The Devils certainly seem to be, winning their seventh-straight game and closing to within ten points of a playoff spot. Dainius Zubrus had two goals while Johan Hedberg made 24 saves.

STOP calling them the 'johnnies', it's bad enough that we have resorted to such PC that they're now called the marginally acceptable 'red storm' rather than the REDMEN, but the johnnies is just plain gay. That's gay as in retarded, not homosexual.
