Bloomberg to DC: Tear Down That Immigration Wall for Models!

Bloomberg's got your back, Magnum.
Over two years ago, Representative Anthony Weiner tried to change the nation's immigration laws to help fashion models who can't get the necessary work visas to come to America (and NYC in particular). The tabloids had a good laugh, because Weiner wants models ha ha, and the legislation went nowhere. But today on his radio show, Mayor Bloomberg hopped on the model bandwagon, urging Washington to change the immigration laws to enable thousands of professional good looking people to flood our borders. And so, in response to Hizzoner's sudden interest in the plight of international models, Weiner got a little catty on the Twitter.

"Great minds think alike...eventually," Weiner tweeted @MikeBloomberg. Leave Weiner's models alone, Bloomberg! @MikeBloomberg was probably too busy blowing rails of Weiner's models' behinds to tweet back, but we all hope this escalates into a full on Twitter feud. If it does, Bloomberg's probably not sweating it, because he's got some heavy hitters on his side. Today the Mayor announced that eleven leading designers, retailers, wholesalers, and entrepreneurs from the fashion industry have joined his fight for immigration reform. These include such boldfaced names as Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Brooks Brothers, Perry Ellis, and Brooks Brothers. You do not want to mess with the Brooks; they will cut you up with their wingtips.

On his radio show, Bloomberg said, "New York City is the fashion capital of the world, and that means thousands of jobs for our City—not only for models and designers, but also for seamstresses, deliverymen, clothing manufacturers and caterers. But if international fashion companies face too many visa problems in America, they will simply move their billions in revenue and thousands of jobs to our competitors overseas. We need an immigration strategy that supports our businesses, instead of getting in their way." Damn, you gonna take that, Weiner?!

Hey Weenie, can we also include all those strippers from Russia living in Sheepshead Bay?

leave it to rod to preemptively completely ruin a article that's just screaming to be joked about.

FUCKING HOME OF ELLIS ISLAND AND MIKE CARES ABOUT THE MODELS?! THE FUCKING MODELS!?

....oh, nope, wait. Ellis Island belongs to Jersey....Where all the non-european immigrants have been pushed out to thanks to the Mayor's development agenda.

    Rod, you missed this one.

I love this. This is great. But only for the women models. Models are fun to date because most of them are very insecure. You wouldn't think that was the case but it's true. If you ever get the opportunity to date one, just look at her expressionless without saying anything. The insecurity usually comes gushing out. Through the appropriate manipulation tactics one can always have a lot of fun.

  • I'm totally drunk, because it's 9:30 on a Friday, but I know a little sumpin' about O-1visas, and you need to have "extraordinary ability" to get one, which usually means, like, awards and shit. So, how many models have "extraordinary ability?" I'm just axckskin.

No America for Americans first for Bloomberg. He lets us know in no uncertain terms just how shallow and elitist he is. As for the rest of us trying to keep a job or get a decent job, trying to stem the tide of illegal immigration, I guess Bloomberg would say, "Let them eat cake."

  • So these models are going to replace all the teachers getting laid off?

  • Bernie_Geotz_Squirrel_Luv

This is a joke, right? I'm being serious.

not meaning to sound racist, let me point out that what NYC needs is for our next mayor to be jewish.

    okay.

i did mean that to be racist, but I'm only fighting their racist fire with more racist fire.

and yes, i realize that's a great name for a band.

when you hire more white jewish males to run everything than every other race combined it reeks of nazism. (how many asians were in Hitler's cabinet? same number as bloomberg's!)

as for anthony, I don't think the press should ever be allowed to mention him without reminding people that anthony fully supported Bush and the Iraq War, and then when Bush admitted what the world already knew (the little lies about WMDs etc) Anthony himself claimed as his defense that he was outsmarted by Bush.

that's should be his opponent's campaign slogan:

'ANTHONY WEINER: "I WAS OUTSMARTED BY BUSH"'

for once, i'm going to compliment mikey the bloomtard:

it takes a lot of chutzpah to try and get people here who will make this retarded dwarf look even more miniature.

(let's hope he gets a knee to the face accidentally)
