Palin Visits Long Island Today For Speaking Gig

Drudge siren gif goes here: Former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be speaking at the Long Island Association's luncheon today. While it's unclear how much the in-demand Mama Grizzly is getting for the session which will feature an hourlong Q&A, political observers are excited to see what Palinisms she'll be presenting. The LIA's President Kevin Law said, "It will be interesting to see and hear what direction she thinks this country ought to be heading in." Oh, come on—we know that already (ruination).

The director of Hofstra University's Center for the Study of the American Presidency, Meena Bose, told Newsday, "There's enormous potential here to hit the ball out of the park and really leave people saying, 'She will be a serious contender.' It depends on how she approaches the even. The setting will largely be cordial, but the audience will be looking for signs that this is someone with policy expertise."

According to WCBS 2, "The Arizona shooting, President Obama’s performance, a possible presidential run and other topics will be on the agenda Thursday." Republican strategist Ed Rollins said, "Maybe this is the start of a presidential campaign. She has been beaten up by the media for doing nothing but her Tweets. This may be the first foray. Of course when you stand up in front of the cameras, you have to be on guard and make sure your answers are precise."
