Ambulette-Riding Robber Thwarted By GPS

An ambulette driver, who used his ambulance as a getaway car, was convicted yesterday of holding up a Queens nail salon and threatening to kill a customer if she called for help. And he only has himself (and GPS) to blame!

Kevin Cheeks was linked to the December 2009 robbery of the Shinki Nail Salon because of GPS records showing he was near the nail salon at the time of the incident. He faces up to 20 years in prison for three counts of robbery. "The defendant will have a long time behind bars to ponder how a simple GPS vehicle-tracking device and a few mouse clicks led to his arrest and conviction for robbery," quipped Queens District Attorney Richard Brown. He'll also have a long time behind bars to think of a comeback to that little joke, sir. May we suggest, "Well, I had sex with your wife!"

I always had an opinion about those ambulette drivers, but I really thought I was just being hugely racist.

This gentleman was actually employed as an ambulette driver?

Ambulette driver, not ambulance. Don't lump my profession in with this thug
