For 24 minutes, the Knicks hung around with the Mavericks. But then Dallas scored 26 of the first 32 points in the second half en route to a 113-97 win over the Knicks at the Garden. Danilo Gallinari led the way with 27 points, and Amar'e Stoudemire had 21. But he did not make a field goal in the second half.

Avery Johnson wasn't around after arguing a non-call on Devin Harris. He didn't miss much. The Nets fell, 106-92, to the 76ers. Johnson picked up two quick technical fouls for arguing with Brent Barnaky. The Nets cut the lead to single digits after Johnson's departure, but it didn't work out. Kris Humphries, Devin Harris and Brook Lopez led the way for the Nets with 16 points.

The Islanders were shut out by Pittsburgh for the second time in nine days in 3-0 loss. The Islanders haven't won at Pittsburgh since Dec. 21, 2007.
