Sometimes thieves do the darndest things! Like Kqwamaine Smith, 20. Out on bail for the alleged theft of a cellphone last October, Smith decided it would be a good idea to get his 15-year-old victim's phone number and call him. And once he got him on the line, Smith offered to pay the kid for a new phone if he would drop the charges. Instead Smith was arrested again, this time for attempting to bribe a witness. Moral of the story? If you've been arrested it is not a good idea to try and pay off your victim.

I see the KKK contingent is strong in this thread.

I'm just commenting on the moronic spelling. Saddling your kid with an a name like that is a sure-fire way to guarantee his/her success in this world!

    Kqwamaine? WTKqw?

I thought this was going to be a feel good story about the thief feeling badly about what he had done and wanted to make amends. Then reality smacks me in the fact and it's actually about someone who wants to get off the hook. That's life for ya.

Oh man. I got some bad street kqwamaine last week and couldn't feel my hands for a week!

(not intended as a vaguely racist criticism like evil Mr. Rogers above)

    WAH PC POLICE. WAH.

  • kevd

Stupid PC jerks telling you that accusing everyone with a "black" name of being a likely criminal. When will the PC man get off our white backs?!

  • Inconcievable de Impublishable

Maybe if we give him some fried chicken?

  • GP

I am SHOCKED that someone named Kqwamaine would be a criminal. Absolutely flabbergasted.

  • That is hilarity at its finest.
