Pupdate: Chihuahua Healing, May Be Up For Adoption Soon

pupdatedog012811.jpg The seemingly abandoned Chihuahua found earlier this week bleeding in the snow is now being tended to by professionals. The employee of 3rd Ward in Brooklyn who discovered her and took her in sent us this update yesterday, which we're sharing with you since we've received so many emails about her!: "We had a great response from people. The Chihuahua is now with Sean Casey Rescue where they are tending to her wounds and waiting to see if the owners contact them. If not, she will be ready for adopting and a new home."

I saved a dog in Spanish Harlem a year ago and am still looking for a home for him. He is posted and CL and being boarded in Queens w/ Raja the Dog Guru who trained him. Here is his story and post https://post.craigslist.org/ma...
So far I've been looking for a year and I could sure use a boost in the effort, you see I was permanently maimed while enroute to rescue him. My leg was horribly broken, I spent weeks in the hospital, have had 3 surgeries and now have a permanent damage to my left leg. I can no longer walk or scoot around to post flyers for him. So, if anyone has a lead on a fellow who might love YaJoe and give him a forever home please give him your consideration, he really deserves it.

A friend of mine had someone ready to go and pick up this pup for adoption to a loving home, the 3rd ward people couldn't be bothered to return the call.

If they were truly concerned about the well being of the pup I'm unclear as to why they couldn't return one lousy phone call so that it could have gone to a loving home rather than a shelter.

The article never said they were looking for someone to adopt. For all anyone knows its just lost and hurt.

  • Microchip your dogs people! Then this won't happen to you!

Unless the "owner" actually abandoned the dog, in which case he should burn in hell for all eternity. I don't actually believe in hell, but there has to be some special place of torment for people who abandon their pets.
