Why Did This Granny Have To Be Beaten Up For $18?

The 74-year-old Staten Island woman viciously beaten by two thugs on Sunday is doing ok, considering she suffered brain hemorrhaging, a blood clot, and a broken finger (not to mention a gash down her forehead that doctors had to stitch up) in the attack that sent both her and her husband to the hospital on his 81st birthday. In a bedside interview with the Daily News, Linda Naimo told them "I never hurt nobody. My leg hurts. My finger's broke."

Understandably, the whole family is upset about the affair, including the couple's 49-year-old son Rocco, who also lives in the building and also suffered a black eye from the duo. "I feel terrible that this happened to my parents," he told the News. "I'm mentally hurt, physically hurt—there's a lot of pain for me right now."

The NYPD is offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. Meanwhile, if you want a bring-me-down from your snow-high, just watch this video of the Naimos in Linda's hospital room telling their story:

because that's the natural cause-and-effect result of Republicans running a city for 17 years and running the world's largest police force.

they steal from the poor to make the rich richer, increasing crime, and they eliminate affordable housing, increasing crime, and they devastate education and after-school programs and art classes, increasing crime, and they run our correctional facilities that make no effort at rehabilitating them "negroes", and the Republicans want every unwanted baby to be born and neglected so they turn to a life of crime because the Republicans make a LOT of money by having crime so high.

and all they have to do is simply repeat the lie each day that the city has never been safer and everyone believes it and thinks Republicans are tough on crime!
