The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning until 6 a.m. tomorrow as another snow storm hits us. According to WACBS 2's meteorologist John Elliott, “We’re looking at these big totals, four to eight plus inches of snow." Accumulation is expected to be between six and nine inches in NYC and surrounding suburbs, three to six inches by the Jersey Shore and more than nine inches in Connecticut.

Yesterday, the Sanitation Department announced there would be there was snow alert as of 7 a.m. today, meaning that its workers were warned to "to start equipment readiness for a possible storm response. In a snow alert, salt spreaders are loaded and plows attached."

Some schools in the suburbs are closing early.
