Judge Declines to Fellate Killer, Gives 107 Years Instead

Scenes from the aftermath of the 2008 shooting.
Things not to do in court when being sentenced? Curse at the judge. Otherwise you might end up like 22-year-old Zaire Paige who was sentenced to 107 years yesterday after telling judge Vincent Del Giudice: "With all due respect and from the bottom of my heart, suck my dick."

The judge reportedly took the jab in stride, responding "I respectfully decline your offer. You are a danger to all civilized members of society" before handing down the sentence.

Paige was convicted for killing Lethania Garcia and wounding four others in a Fort Greene shootout in October 2008. Paige and his accomplice, Robert Crawford (who was sentenced to 53 years for his part last month), had followed Garcia into a hair salon and opened fire hitting an off-duty police officer in the process.

This was not the first time that Paige had made an issue with the judge. Previously he had named him in a "rambling 128-page federal lawsuit that was dismissed" and the judge barred Paige from the proceedings "after he screamed at a testifying cop."

I guess it makes people feel better to think that way, but how likely do you really think it is that a murderous gang member serving a life sentence is going to be that kind of victim in prison?

The fact is that even if it's not the first place they'd choose to live, guys like this generally do just fine while they're locked up.

yeah, I know we all watched Oz, but it's not a given that everyone will receive their just desserts in lockup.
