Coyotes Cross The East River Into Queens

012311coyote.jpg Coyotes have terrorized the fine people of Harlem, Rye and Columbia University, but now the wily canis latrans have crossed over into the borough of Queens. The critter was recently found in Calvary Cemetery, and wildlife expert Paul Curtis says the coyote was probably born last spring and kicked out of his home to make room for new cubs. Curtis also says he's most likely looking for a mate, and may scratch up some pet dogs in the process. Young guy on his own for the first time and looking for love? He should check out Murray Hill.

I JUST saw a coyote coming out of Prospect Park near Litchfield Villa. I was in the park with my dog. It disappeared around the wall onto the sidewalk near 5th street. Sadly, it held up no signs.

I saw one running after a pigeon in Prospect Park. It ran off the edge of large boulder and before it fell, it held up a sign that said "Yikes!"

I spotted a coyote in Bushwick a few years ago. Was standing on a roof looking down and it was skulking around an alley.

Wasn't a coyote spotted sometime last year in LIC right around Queensboro Plaza?

Don't tell PETA, but I think they're hunting rats in violation of NY Agriculture and Markets laws.
