Ticketed Driver Retaliates With Snowballs

012211calvin.jpg A brilliant Staten Islander trying to dodge a traffic ticket was done in by his own hubris on Wednesday morning. Jack Milici was being issued a summons by Traffic Agent Alisa Pearce on Wednesday morning when he hopped in the car and peeled off before Pearce could place the ticket on his car. However, not content with just driving off, he tracked her down later and began yelling and cursing. He also threw snowballs at her.

Under attack, Pearce ducked for cover from the aerial assault, and soon Milici drove away. But since Pearce had already logged his license plate number, Milici was easily arrested on Thursday, and given a desk appearance ticket for harassment. Which we're guessing is harsher than whatever he was being given a summons for in the first place, and that he doesn't have a snowball's chance of getting out of this one.

I thought the appropriate action was to run the offender off the road, charge them with resisting arrest, and send them to jail.

Oh, wait! That only happens to young women coming off a bike lane in the freezing dark.

When they fill the ticket out, it's done. Doesn't matter if you peel out before she can give it to you. Dum dum.
