Is the Catpack the new Bugaboo? Erica at FIPS spotted what she calls a Catpack in Park Slope earlier today. Basically, a cat owner places their feline friend in a semi-transparent cage-bag hybrid. On their back. Like a baby carrier. Yes, perhaps these two pals were simply going to the vet... but this is Park Slope we're talking about, so odds are they were going to enjoy some locally brewed beer at a nearby bar, with some babies. It's actually nice to see that cat people are becoming more social.

Awesome I love being carried in one of those backpacks. Youngpoo usually carries me around with her.

    Wow, you're back.

Stop it, no. Just close your eyes and cover your ears and sing LA LA LA LA LA reaaaally loudly and maybe we won't have to deal with his shit again.

  • For those who have tried transporting pets to the vet, the backpack is pretty convenient.

...so you think, until the cat's done scheming and planning, and your precious items go missing one by one.

wow, you people with those catpacks are brave -- whoever said WW3 would only involve humans?

Anyone who takes out their cat in a "catpack" should be prepared to be laughed at.

Before, when my cat pissed and vomited all over himself in the carrier, he had to suffer a terrible view while sitting in a sami-dazed state, soaking his coat in his own fluids. All that has changed with Catpack!

  • Rocknrope

    This one is slightly better.

thanks. I'm working on my novel one gothamist comment at a time ;)

With Catpack, now when my cat pisses and vomits all over himself while in the carrier, he pisses and vomits all over everyone nearby!
