Sigh: Ted Williams Arrested After Altercation With Daughter

Remember Ted Williams and his golden voice? Last week he was panhandling on the side of a highway in Ohio, only to be pulled from the street by way of a viral video. Since then he's been whisked away by various press outlets and possible employers, and most recently he was in Los Angeles meeting Kobe Bryant and filming a Dr. Phil episode (with his ex-wife and estranged children). And then the levee broke!

According to the Daily News, Williams was briefly detained by the LAPD at his Hollywood hotel last night, where they were responding to a disturbance call. Williams was allegedly in an altercation with his daughter, and the two were brought to the station. Williams has been released, and no one has been charged with a crime, but the investigation is still ongoing.

We're gonna go ahead and blame Dr. Phil for this one. Some feelings were just meant to be repressed and buried!

    Take it from
someone that has been homeless "I am still somewhat" it is so hard
once on the streets people won’t even look at you "they will not even give
you a chance at employment.” Here in Cleveland the police target the
homeless because there is really no safe place to sleep. I slept between the
railroad tracks and the rapid transit tracks once I am at my location I was
somewhat ok the police could not arrest me because they didn’t see me on the tracks.
If they would have caught me crossing the track’s. I would have been charged
with criminal trespassing “A felony here in Cleveland, Oh” just for trying to find
a place to sleep. A BIG YES I did do something stupid to put myself on the
streets “OVI” back in 2002 it is now 2011 I am still paying for what I did, I just
cannot pull myself out of this situation no matter how much I try I am stuck in
    this vicious marry-go-round. 1 OVI = no driver license+lost job+lost girlfriend
then to the streets. I am well educated, no criminal record but still don’t see
the light of day. I WILL DIE ON THESE STREETS this is something I had to learn
to except. If I had that chance that Ted Williams had I would of ran with it
and never looking back. Most felons don’t do this much time then released to do
it again. But for the grace of GOD I still have my brain. Insanity, it’s shure
to happen it’s just a matter of time.

The media giveth, and the media taketh away.

  • Yep, it's Dr Phil's fault. He already ruined another family, "The Dr Phil Family" as they are worse off than the were when they showed up for help with the one daughter and her pregnancy. Now the other daughter is acting out, and the first one is on her 4th child or something like that, and using drugs. The children are into unprotected sex, drugs, having babies left and right, bad boyfriends, abuse, everything. Much worse off then they began, thanks to Dr Phil. What a train wreck. He's becoming the new Jerry Springer with a phd.

It's his meeting with Kobe that did it.

It's too much pressure to go from being a homeless recovering alcoholic to being whisked around the country by the media in the span of a few weeks.

People shouldn't be disappointed or too hard on the guy. The media kind of glossed over the guy's problems. I hope he can make a transition to successful employment without falling back to his old addictions and problems.

I imagine she wouldn't give him money for meth...

  • S.D.

Agreed. The problems that drove him won't magically disappear and being in the Media non stop might make things worse.
