Jets 17, Colts 16: Rex Ryan and the Jets finally got to put the shoe on the other foot against the Colts. After the Jets dominated much of the second half of last night's Wild Card matchup, the Colts took a two-point lead on an Adam Vinatieri field goal with less than one minute left in the game. But the Jets were able win the game on a field goal of their own. A 47-yard kickoff return by Antonio Cromartie helped the Jets set up a game winning field goal for Nick Folk. Folk kicked the a 32-yard field goal as time expired to get the revenge for the Jets that Coach Ryan wanted so badly.
New York was able to keep Peyton Manning and the Colts passing attack in check for much of the game. The only mistake the defense made was allowing a 57-yard Manning touchdown to Pierre Garcon. Reggie Wayne wasn't much of a factor in the game as Darrelle Revis shut him down as an option for Manning.
As their reward, the Jets head to New England to face the Patriots, where they were humiliated 45-3 in early December.
Rangers 2, Blues 1: The Rangers finally won against the Blues in regulation. It may have taken 10 seasons, but behind the goalkeeping of Martin Biron and goals by Sean Avery and Derek Stepan, they were able to pull it off. The two teams combined for just 8 shots in the 1st period (Rangers 6, Blues 2).
Islanders 4, Avalanche 3 (OT): Making his first start in the NHL, Kevin Poulin also got his first win! Poulin, who stopped 34 shots, wasn't the only new arrival to contribute in the victory — Jeremy Colliton scored two power-play goals in the game.
Flyers 2, Devils 1: Johan Hedberg started in goal for the Devils, but was replaced by Martin Brodeur after giving up two first period goals to the Flyers. Unfortunately for New Jersey, Philly's two goals was all they needed for the win.
Bucks 115, Nets 92: Chris Douglas-Roberts returned to New Jersey and dropped 24-points on his former team, helping the Bucks to victory in New Jersey.
