Jets 38, Bills 7: Mark Sanchez started the game for the Jets, but left after just one series. In a meaningless game as they head into the playoffs, New York rested several key players, including LaDainian Tomlinson, Shonn Greene, Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. Playing the Bills, these players proved unnecessary. Rookie running back Joe McKnight led the Jets ground attack with 158 yards, but the Bills proved to be most inept on offense, turning the ball over six times (four interceptions and two fumbles). As the number six seed, the Jets play the Colts in Indianapolis on Saturday night.
Giants 17, Redskins 14: The Giants need to win and for the Packers to lose to the Bears to make the playoffs. While they were able to do their part on Sunday, Green Bay beat the Bears to clinch the final NFC playoff berth. The 10-6 Giants and Bucs are the first ten-win teams to miss the playoffs since 1991. The Giants were able to force Washington into four turnovers, including two balls stripped from Rex Grossman by Osi Umenyiora. Eli Manning hooked up with Mario Manningham for a 92-yard touchdown pass as well. While the win was nice, the Giants lost consecutive games to the Eagles and Packers and that's what's keeping them home next weekend.
Knicks 98, Pacers 92: Amar'e Stoudemire led all players with 26-points as the Knicks were able to win a close one agains the Pacers. All five starters for the Knicks had double-diget scoring. Next up for New York is a big test against the Spurs on Tuesday at MSG.
Panthers 3, Rangers 0: Tomas Vokoun had his fifth shutout of the season for Florida as they're .500 for the first time since before Thanksgiving.
