Williamsburg has one indie film arthouse already—make that two... actually three—but what do the neighborhood locals do when they want to see the new Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris comedy Yogi Bear?

Right now locals have to hop on the L to catch the big screen blockbusters, but according to the Brooklyn Paper, developer Blue Zees Real Estate is planning a $9.3-million movie theater at the corner of Driggs Avenue and Grand Street. It will house six screens over three floors, with 850 stadium seats. What will the anti-Duane Reade set think of the mainstream theater—does Judd Apatow pair well with locally-canned pickles?

The theater—which will only screen first run feature films—should be completed by next fall. The last movie theater like it in the area was the Commodore, which was torn down in 2002.
