Last Night's Action: Sid Plays Dirty

2008_12_rangerslogo.jpg Pittsburgh 3 Rangers 1: The Rangers ran into a hotter team Monday, falling to the Penguins despite several good scoring chances. Pittsburgh jumped out to a 3-0 lead midway through the second period and the Rangers could only answer with one goal as Marc-Andre Fleury made several big saves.

It will be interesting to see what the NHL does about Sidney Crosby's slewfoot of Ryan Callahan. Both players were skating after the puck in the first period, but Crosby kicked one of Callahan's skates out from under him. Callahan fell to the ice and was assessed an interference penalty. One thing's for sure, expect some fireworks when these two teams meet again in just over two weeks.
