A firefighter who would have turned 41 today died yesterday; the Daily News reports, "Gary Valentino... was found unconscious in a bunk at Engine 72 in Throgs Neck just after midnight... He later died at Jacobi Medical Center." The owner of a restaurant across the street from the firehouse said that Valentino was going to have his birthday dinner there tonight and was shocked to hear he died, "He was a stocky, well-built guy. He looked very healthy to me." According to the News, the ME's office "found Valentino died of natural causes related to an enlarged heart."
