Last Night's Action: Biron Shines as Rangers Douse Flames

2008_12_rangerslogo.jpg Marin Biron continued his solid play in back of Henrik Lundqvist as the Rangers took down Calgary, 2-1, at the Garden. The Rangers got second-period goals from Brian Boyle and Dan Girardi and watched as Biron made 31 saves.BIron has started both games since relieving Lundqvist in Friday's 5-1 loss to Colorado. Lundqvist is expected to return on Wednesday.

The worst team the NHL met the best team in the league, but the result was anything but predictable. Johan Hedberg made 30 saves as the Devils blanked Washington, 5-0, for their 13th and 14th points of the year. Patrik Elias started the scoring and Jason Arnott had a pair of goals. Brodeur is expected to miss a week or two with a bruised elbow, so Hedberg's play could be key.

The Rangers played the Colorado Avalanche on Friday, not Washington. If you're going to write sports articles please get the very basic information correct. Us hockey fans appreciate it :).
