Widespread Voter Fraud Suspected in Purloined Pickle Poll!

This past Sunday was National Pickle Day (happy belated), and last week, in anticipation, we posted a pickle poll to determine who had the best pickle in the city. Well, we regret to report that something smells sour in Pickletown. Above are two screenshots from our sophisticated polling platform—two of the many examples that suggest both The Pickle Guys and Horman's Best turned to cheating to edge out the competition, logging in hundreds upon hundreds of votes at a time from the same IP address. Shockingly, from the looks of that Switzerland IP address, it looks like Horman's also outsourced their dirty work, sending coveted ballot-stuffing jobs overseas!

With that, we declare Rick's Picks and McClure's the real winners, taking 1st and 2nd place, respectively (and respectfully).

How did they cheat anyways? I tried voting twice and the second time I receive a message stating "you have already voted". Just because a few hundred votes came from switzerland doesn't mean they are cheating.. it might be just a fanatic pickle lover wanting to help their favorite pickle store out.. I think gothamist is being very unfair to the people who actually voted for their favorite pickle store. They should just remove all the duplicate votes and recount all the unique votes to be fair to everyone that voted.

Well gothamist should apologize to all the real voters out there that this poll turned ugly. The reason behind this is the poll wasn't as secured and someone found a loophole behind it. I do not believe clearing the cookies or history would allow you to vote more than once.. I've seen polls that only allow 1 vote per ip address. Honestly, I've heard of all the pickle places on the poll except for "hormans".. I only found out who they are after doing a google search on them.. so shame on you guys!
