Everybody knows that 9/11 was a vast conspiracy perpetrated by the US government, the Freemasons, President Obama, global warming and bedbugs. But now we can add another name to that illustriously evil list: The Simpsons! Or, maybe it's the writers of The Simpsons? Why did I have the bowl? It's all a bit vague, but at the same time, shockingly real. According to several fringe conspiracy experts, it is undoubtedly within the realm of possibility that The Simpsons predicted 9/11 in the episode "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson." Catch up on all the pupil-dilating details at The Observer sheeple, then watch the video below to complete your education. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true! And faster than you can say The Simpsons already did it," you'll have discovered that they probably very likely almost definitely did do...something...

It's well documented that Osama Bin Laden was a huge "Lone Gunman" fan.
In fact, the show's cancellation likely fueled Bin Laden's anger against our country.

And the Lone Gunman had an episode that predicted the 9/11 attacks, too. In much closer detail than this Simpsons reference.
But that fiction was based on the premise that an American weapons manufacturer wanted to increase sales by starting a war between the USA and some terrorist-friendly country. Wait a minute ...
Uh, am I helping the conspiracy theorists on this one?
GothamTommy
If you watched, the Lone Gunman clip followed the Simpsons clip in the video.
The Man Bat
Mossad.
C.I.A.
PNAC.
end of story.

Were you trying to make a point, or a list?
Turkey.
Cheddar.
Bread.
End of story. And a better result than what you've come up with.

I think Carl Jung would have a lot to say about the coincidences that the video identifies. Personally, I believe the theory that time is an illusion that we create for ourselves. I also believe that it is possible to pick up on common icons, collective thoughts and experiences at an unconscious level. When identified, these icons and metaphors illustrate history in a way that addresses our common fears and anxieties. Freud would have called these harbingers 'wishes', but Jung would identify them as synchronous icons from the collective unconscious.
For certain, conspiracies DO exist, (ex: Enron, Watergate) but the material in this video looks more like the common anxiety of turn of the century America. If we lived in a place that didn't constantly lie to it's population, then we would all feel less conspired against.
Now, turn on your FOX, and go back to sleep. Remember, YOU are FREE!

I love, "LET'S SEE THAT AGAIN" - like "Hey, you didn't notice this the first time but allow ME to show it to you and enlighten you! Thank me!"

the downside to being a news aggregator is that when your sources at YEARS late to the party on something, so are you.

Eh, they're reaching to far in claiming a massive
Hollywood conspiracy.
Now if they were to point out that all of the TV shows mentioned aired on either Fox or FX, and that Summit Entertainment who distributed Knowing co-produced the Irish musical Once with Fox Searchlight, and that Summit's CEO gave a keynote address with the CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment, the whole thing would sound more plausible.
It's much easier to believe that a media conglomerate that hosts a cable news channel frequently accused of tampering with U.S. politics might be interested in creating these false flag events than that all the media conglomerates are in cahoots and trying to kill us.
i read this thread twice and have no idea what you are talking about.

"Everybody knows that 9/11 was a vast conspiracy perpetrated by the US government, the Freemasons, President Obama, global warming and bedbugs"
Does everybody also know that the 9/11 Commission's investigation was criticized by many of the commissioners themselves, including the chairman Tom Kean?
And that that report happened to forget to mention Bldg. 7's collapse?
Does everybody know there still has been no explanation as to why NORAD stood down that day?
What about the fact that over two hundred professors, pilots, retired officers, architects, and engineers continue to publicly insist that the public is being lied to? Is everyone up on that shit?
I understand. Some truths are too scary to contemplate, why not make stupid jokes instead?
fuboy
Do you also believe that Kris Kristofferson is a shape-changing alien who wants to take over the world? 'Cause that's what the guy who thought this up believes.
If you don't, where do you draw the line for batsh*t crazy ideas?

"over two hundred professors, pilots, retired officers, architects, and engineers continue to publicly insist that the public is being lied to?"
And... exactly why is it the thoughts of those 200 professors, pilots, retired officers, architects, and engineers outweigh those of the millions of professors, pilots, retired officers, architects, and engineers who disagree with them?
robingee
>> What about the fact that over two hundred professors, pilots, retired officers, architects, and engineers continue to publicly insist that the public is being lied to? Is everyone up on that shit? >>
It's much easier to believe that THOUSANDS of government and military and civilians were "in on it".
BUILDING 7! BUILDING 7! wah wah wah! How did it fall?! It's been explained, just like Obama's birth certificate and global warming and evolution.

Every one of the points you bring up has been addressed by further study or confirmation from individuals within the organization. I'm all for keeping an open mind and don't put anything past our government, but many of questionable issues have been put to rest.
In my opinion, the deception cited by Kean was not because the government is trying to cover up its participation that day, but rather its incompetence.
SeasTooFarToReach
Maybe the guy read it wrong and it's 10/6/11... or simply 6/11....
I GUESS WE HAVE TO WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR TO DISCARD THIS THEORY!
bustachime
Yeah, and the people who came up with the emergency services number 9-1-1 also presaged 9/11. Yeah, that must be it.
