Guess The Year: Dino Edition

What year did these dinosaurs take a trip on one of New York City's rivers? Put your best guess in the comments, and we'll update with the answer, and more, later.

UPDATE: This photo (now seen in full, above) was taken in 1963, on the Hudson River headed for the 1964 World's Fair (as many of you guessed!). You can purchase The Exciting World of Dinosaurs booklet from the fair on eBay—no bidders yet, and just 50 cents! Below is some video from the World's Fair, you'll catch the dinosaurs around the 7:40 mark:

I had no idea there were huge Dinos at the fair. I do remember Sinclair gas stations though, with the Bronto. There was a special on NatGeo or History about the fair recently, they didn't mention Dinos I don't think!

I loved the video. I was @ the Worlds Fair.

Amazingly that huge globe is still there.

    Easy peasy: 1963, pre-World's Fair.

Definitely the World's Fair. I had souvenir wax figures of the dinosaurs from the SInclair pavilion.

Bingo! The brontoaurus was at the front of the exhibition as I recall. In the category of "where are they now?" there;s this:

Where are they going? A museum? Natural History only has skeletons I think. I will blast out a guess at 1960.

Notice how patiently they are waiting in line for the ferry. Times were a lot civil back then.
